White Coats on Media Call

Be part of a network of physician spokespeople who are available to serve as content experts for the media and provide important information to the public.

MSV is looking for physicians in all specialties and from all areas of the state. Media topics and opportunities will vary by region and may include the following.

Reactive – requests for an expert to comment on a:

• new study or procedure
• pandemic/epidemic
• health condition of a celebrity
• seasonally-related issue

Proactive – MSV seeking:

• media coverage for a study, issue, program or health care topic
• assistance with letters to the editor or op-eds around important issues

Expectations of participation:

• Reply to inquiries from MSV staff as soon as possible according to your patient schedule.
• *Participate in media training at MSV on January 20, 2012.
• Make MSV communications department aware of any calls that come directly to you from the media.
• Follow MSV talking points when provided.
